there's no denying that talent was under PPG 2016, but as OP said, what went wrong with this reboot was CN's exec meddling over it
like these two are both capable of action/comedy with their portfolios but with the CN execs and no crew from 1998 returning got us this show

the two week gap was made by theaters because they're very protective over their windows
