A journey - Stages of my financial life since 2017 —- 2017 - Married, slow realisation Family Debt >>> Income, signed surety for relatives & friends 2018 - Lost my dad 💔- shattered, but welcome to reality - DEBT & backstabbing by closest of the family - Kept focus on clearing off high interest debt, consolidation of debt, 3 dependants on one income 2018 - Start saving/investing with discipline, Frugal lifestyle, just have a bicycle and a small rented place 2019 - Continue working hard + started passive income (was clocking 18-19 hrs a day), Promotion at work 2020 - Losses in investing (COVID), Heartbroken but long term goal intact, promotion to dad role ❤️, more hope, more responsibility, more income - started investing in GOLD for kid education 2021 - Passive income paid off, took a car (no loan), expenses are same as in 2018, but income is 3 fold - save, save & save. Started optimising spends through credit cards 2022 - Passive income hit - was really scared & started emergency fund, refocus on job - Elected to a Jr,Partner at work, wifey joined a job to support the long term goal - never touched her money, her money is just for her portfolio (but our combined net worth) - mom earning some passive income through a small business 2023 - COVID investments paid off, strong financial decisions made - No more new loans either taking or giving, Dividends started acting as passive income supporting 4 month expenses. Small experiences & Travel through credit card points - 21 day Europe travel with family all on cc points 2024 - Biggest milestone - ZERO DEBT (still have some family debt), 50% of income to investments, portfolio size getting bigger - PUMP, PUMP, PUMP. Wifey quit work to tckr of kid - this helped me to just focus at work, travel & undivided attention 2025 - Hopefully stable state, used profits from 2024 for our & moms home renovation. Now my Dividends >>> 5X portfolio size of 2020, have points to cover for 3 international vacations, my expenses grew - but lifestyle hasn’t as much, 70% of income goes to investing - still chasing big financial dreams Still there is struggle, there are unknowns, there are legal battles, there are broader commitments - I might lose everything tomm, but have built a shield of steel to never give up Thanks to my mom, wife & brother for staying supportive in this entire journey. My dad & the gods for watching for us Things take time, energy & grit. Never give up 👍 A lot of love from bottom of my heart who are going through similar journeys ❤️ #Life

@AgarawalaB27486 People can criticize execution, service, or management decisions. But building cells, motors, and battery tech in-house is not something many Indian 🇮🇳 auto companies have attempted at this scale. Execution will decide the outcome, but the ambition itself deserves recognition.👏

Exactly this 🔥 While Ather, TVS, Bajaj & Hero keep importing cells, motors & doing screwdrivergiri, Ola is the ONLY Indian company manufacturing lithium-ion cells in India — and one of the very few globally going full vertical.🇮🇳 Fact: No major EV company has scaled big worldwide without making its own cells AND motors. Tesla, BYD, CATL-backed players — they all control the core tech. Ola is following the exact same playbook. Ola’s 6 GWh gigafactory (India’s only fully operational one) is a massive strategic asset — worth hundreds of millions in capex, pumping out self-made 4680 Bharat Cells (NMC today, LFP cylindrical & prismatic coming). Paired with India’s first rare-earth-free ferrite motor — zero China dependency on magnets. Ola Roadster X is already smashing it — grabbing over 50% market share (even 50-65% in key states like UP, Bihar & MP). Real product-market fit! Tesla was loss-making for 18 straight years, piling up billions in cumulative losses (hundreds of millions to over $1-2B in peak loss years) while building its tech moat. Without heavy upfront losses, you simply can’t create deep tech like this. Ola is doing it smarter & faster in India’s EV boom. Massive future in BESS — Ola Shakti storage is live, and with cell capacity + vertical integration, Ola can own India’s energy storage market with almost no local competition. Service pains were real, but warranty costs are down ~90%, sales are exploding, and the tech edge is massive. This isn’t another assembler. Its unfortunate that Ola couldn’t handle after sales service properly in last 2 years but things are finally changing on ground. Consistently increasing sales in last 3 months and massive EV adoption tailwinds are reflecting in stock price finally. What people are not realising still is the value of 6 GWH commercially functioning giga factory. They have successfully rolled out NMC cells in their vehicles and will soon be commercialising LFP cylindrical followed by prismatic form factor. LFP prismatic will open the doors for large scale BESS projects with 0 competitors in India as of now. If Ola executes well, people will remember Ola as the biggest turnaround example in history of Indian startup ecosystem. I want them to succeed not just because I’m heavily invested in it, but because its what Indian businesses should aspire for. A few companies assemble. A few companies integrate. Very few attempt to build the entire stack. Whether #OlaElectric succeeds or fails, its gigafactory, in-house cell development, and motor manufacturing are bets on long-term technological self-reliance, not just scooter sales. The real question isn’t whether Ola is perfect today. It’s whether India needs more companies willing to take these risks. 🇮🇳
