@johnkonrad I think the reason so many are “bothered” by Trump is his decision making style isn’t linear, which causes discomfort. With that, they create hysterical narratives, like he doesn’t know what he’s doing, he didn’t think of this or that, etc.

@basicuser22 I don’t doubt it, he probably can determine range by gestalt. A hearing aid is of limited help for tankers as the auditory nerve has been permanently damaged. A cochlear implant has an external sensor jacked into a port & is clearly visible on the scalp behind the ear.

@NinaMoralesx2 One of my best friends was in Vietnam on an artillery battalion, and he has some almost unbelievable stories. He also can barely hear unless you shout into his hearing aid

@basicuser22 2. & thumped on the wooden floor, this was in pracetime, I can only imagine what it must have been like for troops in combat. No wonder it used to be called shell shock, my 50 caliber rifle was nowhere near as loud as a live 150mm artillery shell.
