@kimalex34879547 @FIFAWorldCup I do. FIFA pays for fuck all, rakes in all the ticket money. Severely overpriced all of the tickets solely based on the fact that they can. They also expanded the tournament that didn’t need it. Oh and I forgot “hydration breaks” Tell me, how does it work?

@mike48506837264 @lukewgoldstein That’s simply not true, very much depends on the nature of the work being done. However, I did look it up and most of nyc contracts have a termination contingency. Provides the ability to end early with notice and no/small termination fee.

@bbeea5 @lukewgoldstein Most consulting firms go year by year. Terms would generally be if you don’t wish to continue you don’t renew. It would be strange to have it structured otherwise.

@nikitabier @jonatanpallesen A lot of these accounts complaining are just posting recycled content and random videos to engagement farm. Half of my timeline are quote tweets to “what’s an opinion that will have you like this” Demonetize spam, verify country of origin through payouts, remove the incentives!

For a random person signing up in France: Their very first timeline will likely include Trump ragebait and Silicon Valley chatter. We can’t continue to incentivize the same kind of posts forever—and not try to expand our inventory. The network will never grow. It will proceed to be a monoculture with a handful of countries rationally spamming the replies of those posts to get $30/week.

Letting users region block doesn’t fix anything. Because most users won’t do it. If you want to fix the discourse, you have to change the incentives at the platform level. Which the new monetization scheme would’ve done, before Elon walked it back.

@nikitabier Until X stops incentivizing slop, this platform will continue to be filled with slop. It's that simple. People should be able to post whatever they want about whatever they want, doesn't mean that they should be paid for it. Remove the incentive and it stops
