Let me show you a new form of art developed by a UNILAG economics scholar, Babawale This art took about a year and half to complete, and at the end of this write up, I’ll prove the almighty equation for making a classic art. Last year January, I provided the BB LUXE RIDE creative activities for a few Gen-z and young individuals who wanted some recreational activities for a breath of fresh air and let lose of the Lagos hustle steam. During the set up, after the day’s activities, they decided to stop for a shoot just beside the iconic high rise building in UNILAG. February this year, I then captured the collective consciousness into a digital 3-D image design. This image also tells the phase we were during the early days of my creative start up of the BB LUXE RIDE. We then produced this design of sellable materials through the company the BB LUXE RIDE birthed, in December last year, called the BB LUXE RIDE collectibles. The idea was to introduce a brand new type of art, called SELF expression, just being more of yourself, real and free. So what we did was bring the 3-D design to LIFE on merchandise (Polos, classic beach shirts, A5 cards..) and art works, murals, bags. Every variation of art we produce conveys the message, “the expression of SELF art” with the BB LUXE RIDE serving as a symbol of belief that self expression is indeed the WAY. So, to own that piece of memory, you can either get it in form of Artworks (acrylic on canvas, oil painting), Polos, shirts, 3-D glitter globes, bags, A5 cards and murals of the design on your preferred walls.
