@bckjnes This also speaks to how the show should be paying the girls for their contribution, as a whole ecosystem of amazing talent is behind them. There aren’t actors in dramas with equivalent ratings paying to be on set.

Story time: I love creating pieces for some of our favorite rugirls. But last summer we created 2 dresses for Jasmine Kennedie for this season of all stars and they have yet to be paid off and she has since ghosted me and my team. And her manager said it wasn’t their problem

UPDATE!! Jasmine has reached out, we’ve talk through it and I will be getting paid. I said if before but all it takes is some communication yall 💜 that said im very excited to share these lewks with you! Thank you for the support 💜💜

What sucks is we did have a lovely time with Jasmine, but this has truly turned things on its head with looks i was very proud of and looking forward to share.

The problem is the ghosting and no communication when you are about to be on this show with an amazing platform and wearing looks that aren’t even fully paid for and have intention of paying.

I know it’s expensive, but designers do deserve to charge what they are worth/the time they put into these looks. We built her a dress in 5 days after a designer dropped out. I always give a breakdown of prices and 8/10 usually materials are more expensive than my own labor

@bckjnes Drop the exposé your work is PHENOMENAL and I’m frustrated that someone would take advantage of that 💔💔💔

As with all my clients I always offer a payment plan. I understand the show and drag has become expensive, but it’s not like you’re asking for simple things and also the timelines are always crazy. Jasmine has simply refused to even answer when we offer the payment plan option.
