@bitbrain @defold The empty project size is including the engine. It does not include temp files. It is the aggregated size of the files you get when you export your game: - Defold->Project->Bundle - Unity->File->Build Profiles->Build - Godot->Project->Export

How does the new Unity version fare in terms of empty project size? Not so great to be honest... The iOS, Android and Windows numbers represent the size on disk while the HTML5 number is uncached download size when gzipped. No optimizations. Release mode. #gameengine #gamedev

how it started vs how it's going 🪿🫏

My new tool to discover people on Mastodon works quite well now. Already found 50+ people who do amazing gamedev + pixelart across various instances. It is still rough around the edges but for a weekend project I am satisfied. Purely built in Vue 3: github.com/bitbrain/tootp…

I love @joinmastodon because you can shape your timeline exactly how you want. Finding the right hashtags and servers at first can be a challenge, but once you’ve set it up, it feels like the #gamedev Twitter days of 2010!
