As yall discuss about the BFT (Byzantine fault tolerance) aspect of blockchain aka “51% attack” is forever going to be a conversation because it depends on what consensus mechanism is being used (for BTC it’s proof of work) You have the triangle of blockchain that each consensus mechanism improves or weakens. Security, scaling, decentralization. Good convo but understanding the basics of these systems is key also! 💯

Cardano uses POS (proof of stake) vs XRP uses RPCA (ripple protocol consensus algorithm) which uses a UNL (unique node list) so yes XRP is much more centralized based on infrastructure vs cardano BUT if you look at crypto reserve positives, USA is only like 25-30% of this crypto space (according to statistics like Coinbase Binance etc) so we have Asian countries, UAE (huge percentage more than we realize) African countries like Nigeria and MORE that participate in this space that impact it.

I looked at the infrastructure and while this a “new” to the scene, it definitely has longevity overall it just has so many solid exciting things going on moving forward!!

Research more about synthetic stablecoins (basically implements smart contracts and using collateral like ETH or BTC) vs fiat backed stablecoins. Fiat backed is more centralized obviously but synthetic stables are based more on the market and more volatile, but I still see benefit!
