@kapilansh_twt Large scale projects would burn through token prices and it cost more than an entire team of devs. AI is good for solo devs, small to medium projects.
Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.”
No, you didn’t.
You didn’t pay $2,200 for rent and $7 for eggs.
You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security.
Gen Z isn’t dramatic.
They’re drowning.
@RCajun1981@DrRitaDed I know, I’m just saying… making 135k after tax I wouldn’t consider wealthy, that’s just someone who has a good job.. I know guys who pay near 40k a year in taxes just working blue collar
Here's an idea.
Tax the rich.
Anyone earning over 180k per year should get taxed at 100%
No one needs to be earning that much. Redistribute the wealth.
Real projects.. lol, easily. It shows ability, understanding & creativity + problem solving in many different dynamics… leetcode is just some bullshit “Alex has 10 cookies in the jar, how many will he have if it’s half of 1 on the weekends and whole ones on working days”… who cares
Because they were lazy back then.. 80s and 70s were all hip hop hippies that just smoked crack and drank jack Daniel’s all day. Back then literally just a high school diploma got you a Union cert or something and you could start a trade right outside of school, and they didn’t have all “standards” companies set wanting their hired to have bachelor degree or high for a entry job paying $3 more than minimum wage… the average home in the 70s cost $28,000 and now they can resell it for 450k lmao..
This is way people from that time are all stuck inside of a bogus low paying trade or public service job and their foreman’s are half their age… they have no grit, they’d just want to go home and drink.
@JohnMur2441010@Govindtwtt No CDL class A no experience is paying $40 an hour for full time, please show a job listing lmfao 😂. No experience you don’t even have enough wheel time to get a cert to make the decent money,
@bluecfff@Govindtwtt CDL Class A truck driver. Throw a rock and you’ll hit a company that’s hiring. Get a couple years experience and you’re making in the 6 figures with certifications.
@bluecfff@Govindtwtt Come to California if you want to make $20/hr…..that’s what politicians have forced McDonald’s to pay their employees and then we wonder why idiots complain about things being expensive…..it’s all a result of the same politicians woke liberal idiots insist on supporting!
@sdbilli1968@deewatts60@Govindtwtt In the 70s, the average home price was 27,000… I have friends who pay that in just an apartment rent in under 2 years… now that home can be resold for like 250,000.
Yall had it easy, just work.. go to work the bar minimum and you did good in life.
@deewatts60@bluecfff@Govindtwtt They constant complainer, poor me generation likes to make up their own scenarios of how it used to be to feel better about themselves.
What a waste.
@JohnMur2441010@Govindtwtt Position title, and company name ? Or even a similar company in the same industry… $40hr, no experience and no education, that literally doesn’t exist
@bluecfff@Govindtwtt I make $40/hr at a job that required no college degree, and I had no experience at when I started three months ago. Literally never been easier to find a decent job.
@HustleBitch_ Logos are for poor people to gain some sort of status amongst other.. they’ll flex $300 jeans and $5k in cash but live in the projects lmao.
🚨 JEFF BEZOS WORTH $200 BILLION — SPOTTED AT COACHELLA IN A $12 AMAZON SHIRT
At Coachella 2024…
Jeff Bezos.
Worth $200,000,000,000 at the time.
And he shows up in something anyone can buy in two clicks.
Why would a $200 billion man choose a $12 shirt?
@BacLeodiv Pay by the meter is coming. One day you will pay for your own AI agent that integrated into your daily apps, by the usage.. similar to how you pay and electric bill.
Behind every agent is a face, last name and recent address
General usage: OpenAI, Coding Claud, Grok somewhere mid level - I think its biggest selling point was being unfiltered and image / video creations, really it has the same restrictions as all the others… long run, probably Google as it has pretty much unlimited money & crazy infrastructure.. I mean whom else out this list has a pro plan for $8 / month ? Lmao.
@zuess05 I’ve seen requirements of 6+ months coding is AI assisted platforms: Codex, Claude,.. almost this exact working to for a fairly entry 1-2 year experience job
Serious question.
If every single developer is currently using Claude to write, debug, and ship 90% of their production code...
What are companies actually asking in tech interviews right now?
@0xPrajwal_ Leetcode imo was never a good way to to base someone’s ability, as a developer / engineer that can code, you create things, build things.. that is what you should be graded on, what have you made? I don’t care about your Leetcode homework to count how many cookies are in jar.
In AI era, who gets selected? 👇
Candidate 1 :
- 500+ LeetCode
- MERN stack
- Course & tutorial heavy
- 3+ certificates
Candidate 2 :
- Full-stack + Agentic AI + Core knowledge
- Ships real projects (not just tutorials)
- Learns from YouTube, builds in public
One grinds problems.
One builds solutions.
Who would you hire?
@NanouuSymeon Rust. The one fallback to it was its learning curve variable it has, but with AI in the future it will definitely take over, plus the foundation of the language enforces memory security very heavily… anyone not saying Rust is just cope
But for that resume. It’s actually pretty heavy but only 2 years work experience, which seems straight of school and for some high level companies.. my best guess is college interns that led to direct hires, social networking and then literally everything this person touched regardless of actual skill they put in the resume… fair strategy, are there much more talented candidates without that resume flair ? Hell yeah, the best devs are the ones with random ass job titles and a little GitHub portfolio link tossed in in a random spot tbh
@SMSarwar47 4 years industry experience, coding since 16yo.. run a game server, have a website, open sourced EDR engines written in Rust and a startup anti malware thing.. haven’t had a tech interview since 2022… I don’t think the bar is low, more egotistical.
Saw a resume that got shortlisted by FAANG.
Looked at the projects and honestly nothing crazy.
Now I’m confused
how are people getting hired with projects like these while
I see some crazy devs still struggling?
Is the bar actually low or is there something else to it.
