@BMUS_Ultrasound It was such a privilege to speak alongside such renowned names in the world of obstetrics today. Lots of take home messages on: reducing PET & stillbirth, how to diagnose placental accreta & coarc of the aorta & the 10-week anomaly scan! But will AI replace sonographers v soon?

Today’s Obstetric’s meeting has been a huge success so far, with phenomenal speakers, like Dr Nia Jones, and Ms Alexandra Drought delivering insightful talks! More photos to come next week.

In a recent NCEPOD report into A&E care for those with epilepsy, only 13% of patients had any record of being told about SUDEP and epilepsy risk. Read more: sudep.org/article/new-re…

The govt’s workforce plan will make the NHS a second tier service staffed by second rate staff. It will maintain the NHS in name only, forcing more people - both staff and patients - into the private sector - a political decision about not raising taxes, especially on property.

I’m looking forward to reading the NHS workforce plan, particularly who is going to train all the new staff? Existing students and trainees lament the lack of training. Unless we retain the trainers, and protect time for training, we can’t teach the trainees.
