It's first day of school vibe in the Main Reading Room at @librarycongress this morning! Staff are bouncing around waiting for researchers to arrive for the first time in 15 months. Room looks great and is dying to be used, as are the collections! Get in here!

@caw_ @eecanning Chad! Thanks for calling it to my attention! Yes, important q’s on how cultural heritage info systems are designed and what type of info (and for/by whom) they allow space for. Projects like @mukurtu and @COVIDBLK are community centric cms projects.

@roblancefield @SarahEBond Also tangible/intangible is connected. It’s not about who has access but rather who controls the information in the physical-so the on-site interpretation and display of cultural heritage but also online information and data. Would ❤️ to know your thoughts.

“Digitization ≠ Repatriation: When Digital Humanities Provides Access But Not Restitution.” Always good to see the point made that to share a digital copy of a contested physical thing is not to give it back. @SarahEBond blogs: goo.gl/S5eRvF #digitization #repatriation
