@cfishman its origin may be in adoption strategy —getting people using Venmo in group situations where one credit card is is used and everyone pays the “banker.” Transparency in those transactions proves compliance and reminds “friends” to follow suit. + develops a habit of using the app?

Venmo question. I've been a while coming to Venmo. But did it. Why is default for all your payments & transactions to be viewable to anyone? I know you can set to 'private.' I dug thru settings & clicked 'private for all.' But who wants all their finances public? And why?

Looks like I am staying in Thailand for another five years….just been formally accepted for a ridiculously expensive “Elite” membership. A bit more paperwork to finalise…..but I am so happy to be staying put in Asia.
