Here's the greatest act of career sabotage before Will Smith slapoed Chris Rock. This supposedly spontaneous moment was clearly staged and negotiated, however Lupita's brother took her spot. The alternate composition is if he weren't there, Brad and Angelina shift down and Lupita ends up where Brad is. Instead of clearly cementing her with the A listers forever in the selfie of the century, she is obscured in the back with half her teeth. Dick move.

@Vision4theBlind Noticed this lately. People finding it very embarrassing and annoying when famous sports starts play on past a certain age. Applies even where they maintain quality. Like it gets sad to keep playing sport into your forties

@burgha_de @TateTheTalisman Well, I don't prefer my things getting stolen with a silly reason like I cannot maintain it. That is the dumb argument. Stealing is immoral and a crime.

The British Museum taking things was not "theft" but preservation. Indians may want this back because its the last remaining one, but if they had kept it it would have suffered the same fate as the countless thousands THEY had. Where are yours? You made them. You had thousands of them. Finders keepers, and you're welcome for preserving your history. This was a huge UK W before the country fell to shit.

Is there a special word to describe the slight feeling of sadness of having to leave Act One of a story - where the setting is so perfectly set up, the world feels real and alive and you could escape right into it, but then the plot has to move forward and the protagonists need an Inciting Incident and Point of No Return, and you're sad that you can't go back to that original place. The Grand Budapest Hotel is another one which really does it for me. I just enjoy living in the set-up.

Peterson’s fall is tragic in every sense of the word He appeared on the scene while I was dealing with the death of my wife and his work was part of getting me back on my feet But his inability to truly commit to the Christian beliefs he so venerated reflected a larger failure of his rationalistic attempt to engage with faith His message of personal duty was powerful but his insistence on ignoring wider systemic issues is oddly reflective of his personal struggles Pray for Jordan, he has helped many of us and for all of his faults he deserves appreciation for what he has done

We figured out that dad has a psych med induced neurological injury, and has been suffering from akathisia. It’s been 6 years since any psych medications. Last summer his symptoms started, after a flare up likely induced by mold (CIRS) and stress. It was complicated by pneumonia and associated sepsis a month later. It’s been horrible. Neurological injuries from psych meds are far more common than people know. I made this video to explain what they are and what akathisia is because they’re not talked about enough, they’re misdiagnosed, nearly impossible to treat, and hidden by the pharmaceutical industry. I don’t plan on making another update about my dad, it stresses my family out, and myself, and there’s nothing more to say about it until things get better. I will be jumping up and down about psych med injury awareness from now on as it’s impacted my health as well, and is devastating. Prayers are appreciated still.

Meanings and definitions matter. An absence of these things means we have the woke, cultural relativism, healthy at any size', transgenderism, and postmodernism. Whilst this is *very good* for a woman - it is not a pull-up, it is a chin-up. Further, it is NOT a one-arm chin-up. Once you change definitions for fear of not wanting to offend (or of being accused of 'nitpicking') then you open the door to all sorts of bullshit. You allow the pseud to say "I am because I say I am".

Ethical question. I was in the hotel gym just now in a dad came in to do weights with two of his children. While he wasn’t paying attention to his son, who was about seven years old, climbed on the treadmill and kept hitting buttons until it was going at 8 miles an hour. Worried he was going to get killed. I warned him to turn it down. He then got back on it and did it again. I ended my workout early and talk to the dad saying I thought that was dangerous and I didn’t want someone a child to get hurt. He said it was fine and he did 8 miles an hour yesterday. At that point, I left and informed the front desk. I said it was their call, but it was my judgment a child could get seriously hurt. Was this the right thing to do?

There is a mystery of why the buns on the Japanese McDonalds website are all tilted. Much more than any other country. My guess is, this detail captures the attention of Japanese, and almost makes them want to put the bun on correctly. Thereby increasing attention mcdonalds.co.jp/en/menu/burger/

@celestialbe1ng Maybe you don't but many people including women hit weights have a good muscular building response to it and then (main point) get a spike in cortisol and hunger hormones that quickly gets them into the habit of overeating a bit every day and they end up bulky

The most common mistake women make when they start lifting is eating too much. Yes, they gained muscle but the majority of women you see in the gyms with the woman in the video's shape is a result of caloric surplus overtime. This woman pictured predominantly does weights 3-6X a week on a caloric deficit. Women do not get big by lifting. They get big for a number of other reasons most commonly being excessive calories which is ultimate fat sitting on top of the muscle.

Being a gym girl and putting on a considerable amount of muscle will inevitably make you look less feminine. You’re literally training in the same way MEN do. Being afraid of lifting weights because it will make you look “bulky” is a valid fear.
