I’ve been real sick yesterday and today. Either a cold or the Vid. It sucks. I feel like it was coming on for a week at least.

I couldn't wait any longer for Shergold
1,so on strength of a lot of reviews watched,body shape,neck width ( I have shovel hands) 12 strings with single coils don't do it for me,I bought this fella,not a lot of money & they do sound decent,so I have a 12 string again 🤣🎸👍👍

On this date in 1975 Welsh Guitarist, Pianist, Vocalist, Songwriter, Composer, and considered one of the founding members of Badfinger Peter William Ham died by suicide at the age of 27. He hanged himself in the garage of his home in Woking, Surrey, England, driven by severe depression, financial ruin, and the stress of legal disputes surrounding the band's management.
On the night of the 23rd of April 1975, Ham received a phone call from the United States, telling him that all his money had disappeared. Later that night, he met Tom Evans and they went to The White Hart Pub in Surrey together, where Ham drank 10 shots of whisky. Evans drove him home at 3 o'clock on the morning of the 24th of April 1975.
Ham hanged himself in his garage studio in Woking later that morning, just 3 days shy of his 28th birthday. His suicide note addressed to his girlfriend, Anne Herriot; and her son, Blair, blamed Polley for much of his despair and inability to cope with his disappointments in life. The note read:
"Anne, I love you. Blair, I love you. I will not be allowed to love and trust everybody. This is better. Pete. P.S. Stan Polley is a soulless bastard. I will take him with me".
Ham had shown growing signs of mental illness over the preceding months, with Gibbins remembering Ham burning his hands and arms with cigarettes. Ham was cremated at the Morriston Crematorium, Swansea; his ashes were spread in the memorial gardens. Ham's daughter, Petera, was born 1 month after his death. In May, Warner Bros. terminated its contract with Badfinger, and Badfinger dissolved. Around that time, Apple also deleted all of Badfinger's albums from its catalogue.
