#ConfigMgr/#SCCM peeps: new update for 2503/2509 that removes all attempts to set Scan Source settings. Unless you actively want some updates (ex. FUs) from ConfigMgr and others (ex. CUs) from Intune, then you never needed Scan Source in the first place. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/c…

There's no attempt to simply or make this easier either :( Thousands of policy options just on Windows, hundreds of browser policy options, hundreds of Office policies, bleh :-/

If you aren't enforcing a browser extension allowlist, the time to change that was yesterday :( It's not that creating malicious extensions was hard before, the volume was lower @byteben has an excellent guide to inventory and lock down extensions here: msendpointmgr.com/2025/10/04/tam…

@acjuelich Occasionally dip in to Twitter, tried BlueSky but never got into the rhythm. If I post anything it’s cross platform still. I don’t see the same level and depth of engagement on here anymore which is sad. LinkedIn seems to be the new cool place.

I found a novel technique to detect VMs by reading UEFI Firmware variables, haven't seen this used before. VMs show modified data with clear indicators when you read DB/DBX/KEK/PK. Wrote my findings in repo wiki here and added to my app github.com/HotCakeX/Harde… #Cyber #Windows

Wondering why, all of a sudden, Win32Apps are not being installed or updated on your device? Let me start by explaining that you need to be very very careful when changing the Intune Management Extension config file. Why? Because any change can cause the IME to stop working the way you expect. Even something small, like switching the logging mode to verbose, can cause the IME to load the wrong DLL assemblies, and when that happens, all your Win32 app installations don’t even start. With it, the Company Portal stays stuck on “Downloading” with no real clue of what went wrong. The full story and the fix are in the blog.
