I despise wha Pierre has done to the high speed rail debate in Canada. This shouldn’t be a partisan issue. It’s a project that will change Canada for the better. Majority of those opposed have never even used high speed rail before. Video from Shinkansen in February

Control government spending (but don’t slash blindly) Problem: Deficits and inefficiency What I’d do: •Cut waste, not essential services •Focus spending on: •Infrastructure •Growth •Avoid over-taxing productive sectors

Energy strategy (balanced, not ideological) Problem: Canada is stuck between climate goals and resource potential What I’d do: •Develop oil & gas and clean energy •Invest in: •Nuclear •Hydro •Carbon capture 👉 Energy is one of Canada’s biggest economic advantage

Fix housing supply (this is huge) Housing is insanely expensive → people can’t spend → economy slows •Force/pressure cities to build way more housing •Legalize higher density (duplexes, triplexes, small apartments) •Incentivize fast construction approvals (3/9)

1. Speed up projects (without gutting protections) Problem: Projects take too long → investors go elsewhere What I’d do: •Set strict timelines for approvals (e.g., 2–3 years max) •One coordinated review instead of overlapping federal/provincial processes

I’m fully expecting BC provincial polls to show consistent CPBC leads when they get a leader.

The main issue with the CPC is that they aren’t be bold enough. They need to offer bold policy in order to attack Carney. The NDP will likely attack Carney with bold reform and it’s gonna be an appeal to some people. They could hit the 11-15 range in a couple months (2/2)

I know people are probably thinking the NDP will be to “radical” and “socialist” but in this political climate I believe this will work. Carney offers a calm and pragmatic way of governing. A way to challenge that in a rough time is being BOLD. Lewis seems to be bold. (1/2)
