People saying that her having “friends” is a retcon confuse me tbh. She only knew those guys for 2 WEEKS, so her saying Marinette was her first real friend makes sense.

[🧵‼️] TCT recontextualizes Rocketear sm if you think abt it. I always wondered why Nino’s anger was reserved to ONLY Chat Noir in that ep, but it was never about Alya possibly cheating on him, but about HIM not being ENOUGH for Alya. Nino sees his relationship as extremely 🔽🔽

Having a sad backstory doesn't mean she's owed a redemption arc. I think a lot more of you need to acknowledge that while she was objectively fucked over by the writing, she also shows how the cycle of abuse can work - she was abused, took it out on others and refused to change-
