For those in the know, JP9102 WAS a multi -orbit solution. Phase 1, the sovereign component, was in GEO. Alliances and commercial made up the other orbits. They all worked in concert to provide a resilient comms solution. What are we supposed to do now?! defence.gov.au/news-events/re…

This decision is staggeringly stupid. Without comms you are not in the fight. Australia can't have a sovereign defence force without sovereign satellite communications. And defence industry can't invest in Australia if the government is a flaky customer.

Extremely disappointed to see @RSLNSW in the news again for the wrong reasons. I remain a proud member of my RSL Sub-Branch and want to see head office focus on fighting for veterans and their families, not each other.
