आजबाट उपत्यकाको सबैभन्दा लामो र ऐतिहासिक जात्रा-रातो मच्छिन्द्रनाथ जात्रा सुरु भएको छ।
पाटनको पुल्चोकबाट आरम्भ हुने यो भव्य जात्रामा सहकालका देवता रातो मच्छिन्द्रनाथलाई रथमा विराजमान गराई शहरका विभिन्न ठाउँमा घुमाइन्छ। करिब दुई महिनासम्म चल्ने यस यात्राले केवल परम्परा मात्र होइन, श्रद्धा, सहिष्णुता र सांस्कृतिक एकताको अद्भुत सन्देश पनि बोकेको छ।
लिच्छवी राजा नरेन्द्रदेवको पालामा पुग्नु पर्छ । जब काठमाण्डौ उपत्यकामा पानी नपरेर सुख्खा लागेको थियो, नरेन्द्रदेवले भारतको आसामवाट ल्याइएको मछिन्द्रनाथलाई प्राण प्रतिष्ठा गराएर अर्चना शुभारम्भ गरेको इतिहास छ ।
करिब १६ सय वर्ष देखी निरन्तर चलिरहेको यो परम्पराले वर्षा, सहकाल र समृद्धिको कामना गर्दै आएको छ।
यस पावन अवसरमा सबैले एउटै कामना गरौं - वर्षा समयमै होस्, अन्नबाली समृद्ध होस्, संसारमा शान्ति र कल्याण फैलियोस् ।
