@JamesABednar @condaproject Dredging up an old thread here if youโ€™re willingโ€ฆ My experience with lock files is that they arenโ€™t very portable. Even when the person reproducing the env is on the same OS, the build can fail. Containers solve this problem, but sometimes I donโ€™t expect my user to use them.
