We looked at the trading data. After a big loss, win rate on the next trade drops to around 20%. Some of that is people YOLOing close to breach. But most of it is simpler: revenge trading. You take a bad loss. You want it back. You take a trade you shouldn't. Now you're down more. Two ways to handle this: 1. Size so that no single loss puts you in revenge territory. You should have small wins, big wins, small losses. Big losses are not a valid category. 2. If you do take a big hit, step away. The next trade isn't going to fix it, and the data says it'll probably make it worse.

$BTC UPDATE - January 12, 2026 $BTC trading at $90.8K with price struggling to break above $92K resistance for the past 72 hours. Looking at the chart, we have clear compression happening at the $90.5K support. First three retests of this level have already completed with price failing to break $92K resistance zone. If $92K reclaim happens, next target is previous Monday's high around $94.8K. But the way price is consolidating at the $90.5K support, chances are we see a break below instead. Another reason why I am expecting a break downside is because of this ascending trendline formation on the 4H. As we all know already that these formations usually break down when price gets this compressed with smaller bounces happening and by the looks of it, we're heading towards next support at $86.5K-$85.5K in the next 24-48 hours if we do not get to see a strong close above $92K soon. My best possible guess is that we see bitcoin break below this support with $BTCDOM spiking and giving a retest at $4590 resistance. Could happen due to maybe Iran-US conflict or the market reaction to the Fed situation. In any case, we wait for $BTCDOM to reach the $4590 resistance at least before we open a new long position.
