Remarkably, Port Adelaide is still waiting on the tribunal's explanation for last night's guilty verdict against Zak Butters. The club's been granted an extension until 12pm tomorrow to lodge an appeal, given it still doesn't know if there's grounds to do so @7NewsAdelaide

Butters & Wines have everything to gain by sticking together and denying it was said because they don’t want Butters suspended for accusing the umpire of cheating! It’s typical port power!

Time for the AFLPA to go into battle for their players with a very strong public stance, which new AFLPA boss James Gallagher is up for. Port is shattered by the ruling but also bemused by little things like having to wait until tomorrow for the explanation for the ruling which means it has to wait to decide upon an appeal

He’s disappointed with the result, and to make it worse, is given no reason as to why the verdict is what it is. Not good enough.

I understand the AFL players association is incensed by the Zak Butters decision. Its chief James Gallagher has already spoken with the Port star who is understandably livid. A decision on whether the Power appeal will wait until the club receives the tribunal’s findings tomorrow. @FootyonNine

Butters vs Foot… “How’s that a free” or “how much they paying you” Firstly, surely neither of them is reportable - bit precious. How they don’t have audio is unbelievable. I believe Zak’s version, and if proven correct, Foot should be having a few weeks off
