Over 35 innovators gathered today at EldoHub to design, test, and pitch HealthTech solutions that respond to real clinical and community health needs. Through focused working sessions, mentorship, and hands-on building, the teams explored how technology can improve access, efficiency, and outcomes in healthcare. The Red, White & Build U.S–Kenya Hackathon brought together young talent, industry insights, and practical guidance. Participants engaged in sessions led by Enoch Rugut, who grounded the conversations in real health challenges, and Erick Otieno, who shared practical lessons on tech entrepreneurship and turning ideas into viable solutions. Delivered in partnership with the U.S Embassy, and STEM Impact Center, the hackathon aims to strengthen the U.S–Kenya innovation relationship while equipping young innovators with the skills and confidence to build solutions that matter. Teams were guided through a clear challenge brief, mentorship, and judging criteria, keeping the focus on high-impact, single-feature MVPs, No feature overload. Just clear usable ideas. Using U.S-based technologies such as AWS, OpenAI, and Google Cloud, participants built early-stage HealthTech prototypes rooted in real community needs.
