alright fine i’ll play ball and be a hater for a sec bc the tl isn’t hating with the precision i’d like to see
my disdain towards this person is mainly because of the overall tone of her content, which are mostly detached from reality
look at the optics: she graduated from unimelb (my alma mater, btw, she’s not special), is privileged enough to be able to go to multiple concert stops and apply for fansigns, AND YET most of her content that made it to my fyp were basically pity parties for herself which were essentially saying “just because i’m privileged doesn’t mean i don’t struggle”
to me it’s just insensitive. as someone who has a fangirling tiktok just like her, i try to post mostly happy moments because complaining on social media while i seem a LOT more privileged than most people is tone deaf and just not how i want to be perceived on any of my social media. and looking at the state of my country and the world in general… it just feels silly goofy to complain while so many ppl r actually struggling the same time. so i blocked her on here and tiktok bc i don’t wanna see her crying on my fyp 🤷🏻♀️
and now that she’s stirring up problems i can’t help but feel vindicated lmao… of course she’d announce her departure from that fandom WHILE WE’RE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF FANWARS. of course she won’t delete her tweet despite many people telling her not to. drama is what brought her audience to her and it’s what she’s been profiting off of. her ex friends/mutuals/acquaintances turning their backs on her won’t change a thing… she clearly only cares about herself. her taking someone else’s vip benefit is a glaring example of that.
personally i’d like to see her being deplatformed so she’d stop profiting off of drama and actually work on herself… but i doubt that will happen, so 🤷🏻♀️
