BREAKING. The United States just bombed Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility for the second time in three weeks with bunker-busting munitions that no other air force on Earth possesses. Iranian state media confirmed the strike. The IAEA confirmed no radiation leak. And Iran’s uranium enrichment programme, the target these bombs were designed to destroy, has now survived five attacks across 16 years by the two most capable military and intelligence powers in human history. That last sentence is not a criticism of those powers. It is a description of what nuclear knowledge is. The facility hit this morning is the Shahid Ahmadi-Roshan Enrichment Complex, 220 kilometres southeast of Tehran. Israeli broadcaster KAN confirmed the operation was American, carried out with heavy penetrator ordnance. Before the June 2025 war, Natanz housed approximately 17,000 centrifuges spinning uranium to 60 percent purity. Weapons grade is 90. The distance between 60 and 90 is not a wall. It is a gradient. The centrifuges that were spinning toward it have been destroyed. The engineers who designed them have not.
