Just heard that @chillcomcafe in Acomb are in need of donations to fill their food bank. Especially important for those families struggling to survive the last weeks of school holidays. Please help if you can!

@BBCBreakfast “in work” figures are based on anyone that works 2hrs a fortnight! This is not in work. College training schemes also included. It’s ridiculous that the government quotes so many people in work. I support in work poverty everyday!!!

@SaturdayKitchen I cook pay as you feel food for people in poverty using reclaimed food & allotment donation. Would be lovely to see your programme do a feature on how to cook when your in poverty. I think your chefs could really inspire people #poverty

I’m just home from work, and need to leave the house again at 6am to go back to work for an early shift. This would usually have me moaning & complaining!! But after experiencing Monday night I’m just so grateful I have a home to come back to & to leave from, and a job to go to!
