The 2026 Bolder Boulder 10K was a legendary success. Sold out at 52K participants. That healthy sweating energy was the cleansing I needed after a wild unexpected turn of events last week. It’s funny how a trip I locked in January launched just at the right time. One of my friends said it perfectly, God will make space for what is coming, you may not understand it yet, but you have to trust it. I wasn’t focused on my time. I focused on the state of my mind and heart. Trust me, I don’t like running. I’ve grown to appreciate the David Goggins impact it has battling that little whiny voice we have in the back our minds that cries I can’t. I can’t. I can’t. I finished around 1:15 choking on that altitude air, fighting through the climbs. I skipped the slip and slides, keg stands, and jell-o shots. Most importantly I spent time with friends I call family. A life lesson I can share… SWEAT IS the CURE‼️ I truly believe this with all of me. NOT PILLS. NOT BOOZE. Feeling down, going through changes, challenges in life, are all normal. Get into the gym, take on a hard hike, a run surrounded by folks of the same mindset, all going through it, all with their own stories. That shared fuel will clear any blockers we have. I remember attending my first Vegas Knights hockey game as a resident. The pure raw energy of the sea of fellow locals reminded me of watching my Chicago Blackhawks take the Stanley Cup multiple times. My father was furious that the first sweater I purchased was my new home team. Just like all things in life, change happens, regardless if we see it coming or not. That is the beauty of it. He’s still alive, so we worked through it, and I told him, if the teams play each other, which has happened multiple times, I will be as neutral as I can be. I am beyond stoked we made it to the Stanley Cup AGAIN! P.S.
