@jhi_bangtan if queer existence is normalised why was there (and there still is) systemic discrimination against them? even if the avg citizen is accepting of queer people, it doesn't mean the experience of a thai queer person is comparable to that of a thai cishet person right?

@ciizeriya queer politics in a country doesn't reflect how common citizens actually feel about queer people. and thailand isn't called queer-friendly bc there's no homophobia there btw... you are not 5yrs old i hope

yall shouldnt speak on thailand's queer politics if ur not from there. homophobia and transphobia still exists, same sex marriage was only legalised a year ago and trans people face their own legal troubles and discrimination it is not the queer haven yall romanticise it to be

queerness is so normalized in thailand that people don't treat it as something different.. and that's bothering international stantwt??? if calling queer stories 'normal' feels like erasure.. maybe there's still an expectation for y'all to be seen as different rather than equal

if queer characters could be cishet characters without changing anything, then you’re doing it wrong 🤷🏻♀️ I’m sorry, but our love is different. our culture is different. our stories and experiences are different. of course, it’s amazing to normalize, but I hope more can be done.
