white ppl don't look at femininsm through a decolonial lens and just regurgitate colonizer talking points because they see POC as inherently inferior to them (like the little hitlerites they are) if your femininsm isn't intersectional then you are no different from misogynists

what pisses me off so much about these europeans speaking on the filipino language is they're ALL weaponizing feminism to fuel their white savior complex and treat us as if we're an uncivilized species incapable of critically reflecting on our own identity and culture

@hateamerikkka see how you're dumbing down my language being whitewashed as "opinions"? it's not an opinion when filipino being a gender neutral term is a fact. again if you know nothing just stfu ad move along

@clmintines no one is lecturing anyone. if you cant stand other people even daring to voice their opinions on other things just because they don't belong to that thing that means you are intellectually castrating yourself by closing yourself off to other cultures ans opinions.

woke 1 idpol has been such a corrupting influence on people that if you say that a language having default masculine terms for things is misogynistic you are a colonizer

@hateamerikkka girl idgaf about the turkish language my point here is you are a non-filipino lecturing filipinos on their OWN language and saying "filipino" is a masculine term when it's not. if you're gonna "talk about other things" at least have some knowledge

@clmintines Yes I'm from the culturally rich, beautiful country of Turkey. That doesn't mean i cant talk about other things. Moron. Also, turkish is a language with ZERO gender prefixes etc. I was commenting from a Turkish Perspective if anything.

the concept of policing a language you don’t even speak, including its native speakers, just because it doesn’t match your own culture’s linguistic rules … very colonizer naman 😭

@angedipus i don't expect much intersectional perspectives from europeans since majority of you are racists at the end of the day but god please look at feminism through a decolonized lens

@clmintines I dont see how that changes anything in regards to the word being discussed, which is 'filipino'. The patriarchial influences can manifest in different ways but its basically being denied here

@angedipus filipinos and latinos have whole different linguistic backgrounds. not the same. no one is denying the patriarchal bias in language. but filipino has no gendered grammatical structure to begin with so it doesn't apply. you are applying european rules to an austronesian language

@clmintines It is, denying that it is because of misogyny is the problem. Its the same for the word latino

@ROBYNSZENITH btw that user you're defending is white and uses wikipedia as their source 💀 i get your point but it does NOT apply to the term filipino bc it's not a masculine term in the first place
