Delusional. The lion's share of military supply to Ukraine had nothing to do with the weapons used in this new Gulf war. 155mm shells, tanks, F16s, Stingers - none of these are being used against Iran. No Tomahawks or aerial bombs given to Ukraine.

🌱✨ Happy Norwuz! ✨🌱 As we celebrate the arrival of spring and the season of renewal, we also honor the deep and vibrant history of Iran—home to some of the world’s most influential ancient empires. 🌸📜 The story begins with Cyrus the Great, whose founding of the Achaemenid Empire in the 6th century BCE created one of antiquity’s most powerful and far‑reaching civilizations. Stretching from Greece’s borders to northern India, Persia stood as a center of immense wealth, culture, and innovation. 👑🌍 Even after the fall of the Achaemenids to Alexander the Great in 330 BCE, Persian identity flourished. The Parthian and Sasanian dynasties rose to reclaim and reshape the empire’s legacy—engaging, trading, and often clashing with giants like Greece and Rome. ⚔️🏺 All of this and more is explored in the richly illustrated book "Persia: Ancient Iran and the Classical World". Featuring over 300 images—from sculpture and jewelry to silver vessels, coins, gems, and inscriptions—the book traces centuries of artistic, religious, political, and cultural exchange across three great civilizations. 📘✨ May this Norwuz bring light, renewal, and a deeper appreciation of the remarkable heritage that continues to inspire today. 💛🌿 Norwuz Pirouz! 🌼🎉 Learn more here: gty.art/3OLSScM #Norwuz #Nowruz #PersianNewYear #AncientIran #PersiaBook #History #CulturalHeritage

The problem with the Iran war is that once it started and Khamanei was taken out, there could be no real "victory" without regime change. A weakened, headless Islamic Republic is basically a Hydra that will keep hitting the global economy (and US allies) as long as it exists.

There is no foreseeable scenario where the newest ayatollah du jour ends up being reasonable and agrees to end the war on America’s terms. They’re attacking the Qatari energy infrastructure because it’s leverage; they don’t care if they cause a global energy crisis and tank economies from Belgium to South Korea. If that’s what it takes for them to stay in power, so be it.

Message for the Trump Administration… Stop this. The Colombian people are 2 months away from overwhelmingly electing a right-wing President. Stay out of the way before you repeat Canada.

Regarding the news about how Ukrainians are shocked by how the Gulf states and the Americans are shooting down Shahed drones at very elevated costs, this is not surprising at all. It important to understand that Ukraine developed the knowledge of how to shoot down large numbers of Shahed drones gradually because the number and quality of drones attacking Ukraine increased gradually. Ukraine actually had time to learn, adapt, and prepare countermeasures. This happened over a period of four years. It’s not that on the first day of the invasion Ukraine was immediately attacked with 500 drones. No, it happened gradually. And as the number of drones increased to up to 700 per day by 2026, Ukraine had already developed the necessary defenses and countermeasures to respond to this scale. Now, however, it is important to understand that countries dealing with drone warfare today – at a time when this technology has rapidly developed as a result of the Russia–Ukraine war – are facing hundreds of drones in a single day without having had time to prepare. This applies to countries in the Gulf, in Europe, and to the United States. That is why there is currently no other country in the world besides Ukraine that is fully prepared and has the practical knowledge to share on how to deal with this kind of drone warfare. As simple as that.
