Each year, fire and police departments across the country come together to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Today, under the leadership of James Baird, our fire class carried on this tradition by climbing 110 floors in full gear and air packs — a tribute to the 343 firefighters of FDNY, 23 police officers of NYPD, and 37 officers of the Port Authority Police Department who gave their lives that September morning. "We climb because they climbed."
