What is Oda's process of writing One Piece? Oda: In Manga, the characters take on a life of their own and drive the action. What Luffy wants to do, what he wants to say, I plan it out to a certain extent, but when I start writing, Luffy says and does unexpected things. So I have to follow him. I need to go with the flow, while still making sure that everything works.
