I can't get my head around how exactly sustained shared thinking means that 5 year olds are expected to meet more demanding standards - in communication & language, or anything else? This is bizarre.

@jimknight99 I’m thinking a lot about flexibility and rigidity. Rigidity seems based in fear and can be stifling. Flexibility is creative and responsive and comes from a place of safety and security. If consistency becomes rigidity, then I think it’s unhelpful… nuanced discussion!

Had a conversation today about consistent teaching practices across school. Is there evidence that this is helpful to learning and well-being? I'm genuinely curious. My own experience was that teachers using different practices helped me learn. What do you think?

Pictures will do almost no justice to the wholesomeness of @MbuNottingham away day. Having an outdoor learning space, aswell as all the activities, infused foods and drinks from the farm... Every sense was engaged. A reminder of the amazing work we do and how we will continue.
