@Rach_IC Since the campaign of 2015, my group email has been clogged continually with my older friends' curses, news articles and general vitriol about Trump.. At no time during the Trump or the Biden admins have they even slowed, nor offered any quarter to me and other Trump supporters..

Had an interesting experience recently sitting next to a leftist Boomer at dinner. He RAGED about how awful Trump was, practically spitting he was so angry - throughout the entire dinner! What was fascinating is that our side doesn't go into a RAGE about Biden, Kamala Harris etc. We express our annoyance, frustration etc., but we don't go into fits about it publicly. Here is this guy towards the end of his life, when he should have been enjoying a fun dinner, but he was practically going into convulsions with TDS. My theory is that it's a combination of several things. 1) COVID tweaked something in them, 2) the fake news has become so hysterical that it radicalized them, 3) deep down they know their side is becoming fascist by destroying our free country by stealing elections, 4) they know their radical candidates like Kamala Harris are turning off voters, and 5) they are enraged with how successful Trump has been correcting course on their fascism.

A corollary observation is that the next generation down from Boomers, Gen X, is turning out fairly conservative for two reasons IMHO: 1) they were mostly raised by the generation older than Boomers, who were overwhelmingly conservative, and 2) that generation was mostly born after Roe v. Wade - the first generation where leftist women started aborting their children en masse, resulting in more conservative children.

When people realize that Mississippi is spending between $10-$13k per pupil & has gone from 49th in education to 9th in the nation in 13 years, & that they did so by switching to a pre-90s phonics curriculum instead of just flooding a bad system with more money. They'll revolt

If you split only federal spending evenly, it’s about $27,000 per adult per year, with roughly $3,700 of that just paying interest on past spending. That’s the actual price tag. The reason it’s hidden behind rates and brackets is simple: amounts create accountability. If every adult saw a bill for $27K, the question wouldn’t be “who should pay more,” it would be “why does this cost this much, and what am I actually getting for it?” Right now the system blurs that. Costs are diffused, benefits are emphasized, and the bill is partially pushed into the future. Amounts would force a different conversation. Not about redistribution, but about value. And that’s the part the current framing avoids.
