Congrats to @Fisher_Esports for their win at the PGL qualifier. Deserved victory for a team that is playing better CS than anyone else right now domestically. Many people have voiced frustrations about their eligibility - and I also second these frustrations. However, let’s make sure it is is directed appropriately at PGL for allowing out of region teams to play (Ba2 included) in an NA qualifier. The guys on Fisher just wanted to play the game competitively while at school. They deserve no hate for wanting something so simple. Where the issues lie is with TO’s allowing them access to the NA pro circuit. While it may be unfair, as a university fielding an ineligible roster by VRS roster rules they need to be prohibited from play (barring info I do not have that allows them eligibility) If they wish to still attend open events / invites, then they are more than welcome to, (Frag as an example) because those use global VRS. TLDR; I want to make sure the frustration of the community is directed at TO’s and not college kids wanting to compete

So... why are we allowing EU teams to play in NA qualifiers when it is specifically against PGL rules? @pglesports are you aware of the fact that Fisher eSports is a team with a European core? What steps do you take to uphold the integrity of your qualifiers? Per your own rule book: "A team’s eligible region and subregion will be determined by citizenship plurality among the players from that VRS region: For each match, the team must field a roster where the largest share (plurality) of relevant player citizenships belongs to the chosen region or subregion. If there is a tie for plurality between two regions or subregions, the team may choose which of the tied subregions it will represent, and must compete in that region or subregion for that match. Competing in an ineligible subregion/region (i.e. not meeting the plurality requirement) will result in disqualification from the tournament at any stage." @followdusT @ioiocs2 @pglesports If another team was in their place that was legitimate we would’ve simply weighed which match was more important, we decided to play ecl and not the qualy thinking theyd get DQ’d based off the rule book. Make sense from a player perspective?

@followdusT @ioiocs2 @pglesports My guy, let me reiterate. We had 2 matches both vrs enabled, one was legit in ecl another was against a team “false flagging” to cheat the system. If there are rules or “permissions granted” then we need a statement by pgl to clear this up. Idc what school you go to, 4/5 EU core.

@followdusT @ioiocs2 @pglesports And once again, this team got to the finals because the semis was a FF from another team. So yes it was our spot for half of the bracket if the rules were applied to everyone. We didn’t play thinking we would get the spot rightfully so

@criisp_cs @ioiocs2 @pglesports If you had to forfeit, it wouldn't matter who your opponent was, you still had to forfeit which makes you ineligible.
