Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 hosted a side event on the margins of COSP 18 on the theme
*"Addressing the Adverse Impact of Climate Events on Persons with Disabilities"
Sierra Leone’s Minister of Social Welfare and Head of Delegation- COSP 18 delivered a Call to Action which included guaranteeing "inclusive education, social protection, healthcare, and accessible infrastructure in post-disaster recovery and climate adaptation programming" and strengthening "international cooperation and accountability, placing equity, dignity, and agency of PWDs at the center of global responses."
The event was co-sponsored by Ireland 🇮🇪, Pakistan🇵🇰, Chile 🇨🇱 Georgia🇬🇪 and Turkiye🇹🇷.
