Were are very disappointed by our visit to Alton towers so far. As a family of 13 we purchased two-day passes expecting to fully enjoy the park. On arrival we found 3-4 of the rides were closed along with the monorail and skylift. @altontowers continued in comments

and we’ve found there is only 1 tea bag in the room. If any of these things happened separately, we could understand and forget about them but it’s been multiple things, and considering the cost it’s just not acceptable. @altontowers

For housekeeping to come and sort this out they still hadn’t arrived at 9:30pm so in the end my mum cleaned it up for them which is not acceptable! To top it all off, we’ve woken up this morning all wanting a cup of tea to start the day @altontowers

and found the cot was broken so they had to call maintenance who also couldn’t fix it, in the end they used the one from our room and managed to get it up. There was also faeces on the toilet (my brother has photos of this) and when they went up to ask @altontowers

that we had stolen her table when that was where we had been put, ruining the experience for us. Finally, when we got to our rooms at 8pm for the first time, my brother & his partner wanted to put their 3 young kids to bed (8 month old, 2 year old and 6 year old) @altontowers

also eating at the buffet restaurant. The food was nice enough at the restaurant but the lights above us had gone out so we were eating in the dark, and then another lady who had booked for the same amount of people came over to our table and started shouting @altontowers

The queue times were also excessively long which was disappointing meaning we only got on a couple of rides. We have come multiple times before and always had a good experience so this was really disappointing!We’re staying in the splash landing hotel @altontowers
