@khanyisile amateur anthropology is really the best way to put it. because what do you mean you went to an african country for 5 and a half days and suddenly you're an expert on (and the chief victim of) all of its social and economic woes ๐Ÿ˜ญ

We actually call our language Black-British English. Secondly all languages have words within them from older languages and nobody is denying we use AAVE words, like American culture has been rammed down everyoneโ€™s throats. Whole load of nothing but xenophobia in these posts.

especially when the reviews are poor - and while 95% of the time they're truth - there's this strange energy of feeling uniquely affronted or appalled by things that affect nigerians 365 days of the year

but there's always this strange thing of "i went to nigeria for a month, and these are all the bizarre things i saw / learned" meanwhile anybody walking on the street could have told you this same information, but your positioning somehow makes your perspective more novel?

it's not even that the takes in these videos are all wrong, but there's just something weird about people moving like their proximity to the west makes their perspective on nigeria exceptional, groundbreaking, or hyper-relevant

โ€œI just came back from Detty December in Lagos, Nigeria and hereโ€™s what I realize in my 16 days stay; thereโ€™s no WiFi in Nigeria, they put spice in everything, thereโ€™s too much begging in Nigeria and they like to party.โ€ โ€” Lady says.

1. Clubbing 2. Davido showing him around in his car with plenty Igbo 3. let's find a Nigerian queen for Speed 4. Take him to the slum 5. What is better, Nigerian Jollof or Ghana Jollof 6. More clubbing End.
๐Ÿ…ฑ๏ธASH-AAR๐Ÿ›‘@YesItsBash

Speed is about to find out how overrated Nigerian(Lagos) is after spending days in SA, the most theyโ€™ll try to impress him with is the night life/clubbing and thatโ€™s not his kind of contents.

Ordered an item from mandilas, lagos island via indrive, my rider delivered to Ikeja on a bicycle. We used 10 minutes arguing if this was possible, I couldn't even hide the sadness in my heart cos I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that you rode a bicycle to deliver from such a distance.

You go abroad, you pay tax, you get good roads, healthcare, quality education, security etc. You pay tax in Nigeria, the only visible benefit is the upgraded luxurious lifestyle of politicians and their children. Why would any Nigerian want to pay tax?
JEFFREY ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ@Jeff_Okhai

Why are Nigerians bent on evading tax ? If government don't tax you, who will they tax?

@daluchiii I think this will happen more. We are beginning to enjoy niche music more than before. I was at one on Sunday and quite a lot of people were singing along. Music artists need to see fans as a community and not consumers henceforth.
