I'm just gonna leave this one hanging around abandoned, and possibly eventually lock it depending how I feel. My life has changed in a bunch of ways, and I don't feel connected to this one and its history anymore; it's a little difficult to explain, #JustTransThings, etc. 🙂

… trained its own model using a data set that contained a mix of scans taken when patients were lying down and standing up. patients scanned while lying down were more likely to be seriously ill, the AI learned wrongly to predict serious covid risk from a person’s position.

Occasional reminder that 'short-term' measures have a habit of lingering. COVID-19 will continue to circulate globally for foreseeable future, so countries need to consider what they want coming years to look like.

@Mandy_Kerr It's a building block of FP languages, and you can build the other easier stuff (like map, filter, etc) *with* it...
… but it's frankly a bit shit to actually use and read.
(particularly when you're not actually using an FP language that would, y'know, justify its use)
