We will add more datasets to RatGTEx as they become available, and we invite others to reach out if they want to have their datasets added. Thanks @LauraSaba1 and all other authors for their work.
To make this and other similar datasets available to everyone, we’ve launched RatGTEx, which hosts several consistently processed rat eQTL datasets: ratgtex.org
Check out GitHub Copilot if you get a chance! I'm already finding it useful. e.g. if I forget how to do something in Python, I make a comment saying what I want to do, go to the next line, and it suggests the solution (and I can usually tell if it's correct right away).

Excited for the #ctc2021 to start. I’m glad to see new and old friends. Online meetings have their good and bad points but the environmental benefits are undeniable.

I learned from this that parents using IVF are allowed to, and sometimes do, choose specifically for their child to be deaf. This surprised me, as the ability to hear is not among the medical problems our society believes to warrant selection. Ethical? nejm.org/doi/full/10.10…
The GenBank human (and other) genome annotation files only include mitochondria annotations. NLM assures me that this is intentional, not a bug: ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genomes/all/GC…

My #1 advice (more of just a basic fact) to easily improve your figures/posters/diagrams/any other graphics: JPG is for photographs taken with a camera. Otherwise, use PNG.
