@ulfaslak Quarto (quarto.org) with the VS Code extension and .qmd files enables line-by-line execution and interactive inspection and changes of existing variables.

Are there any IDEs for #Python that has a debugger which can execute code line-by-line in a truly "online" fashion? I want a debugger that can pause at a breakpoint or an exception, let me change code or overwrite variables, and then continue execution using the updated code.
