To protect our Jewish community, we are deploying military personnel to support security on our streets. The safety of every citizen must be guaranteed. Antisemitism and hatred against Jews will never be tolerated. We will stand firm against it, always.

On Eid, one of the most important days in the Muslim calendar, access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem has been restricted by Israeli authorities, with many Palestinians prevented from entering and forced to pray outside. Reports also indicate restrictions affecting Christian worshippers, including access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City. Emerging reports this morning say Israeli forces confronted worshippers outside the Old City, with tear gas reportedly used against those gathered for prayer. These developments raise concerns that heightened security measures are further restricting freedom of worship and movement for Palestinians. I raised the situation at Al-Aqsa in Parliament yesterday, highlighting ongoing concerns about restrictions even following the ceasefire. The Israeli government should uphold international law, ensure freedom of worship, and engage in meaningful diplomacy to support a just and lasting peace.

โA smashed window. A provocative sticker. โTis but a small act of petty symbolismโ - The Guardian.

Don't like The Guardian? Wreck its offices. No biggie. Or perhaps it doesn't work that way around?

Israel has closed the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem for two weeks. The compound is considered the third-holiest site for Muslims, and itโs been almost empty throughout Ramadan. Israel says the closure of holy sites in Jerusalem is for โsafety reasonsโ amid the ongoing war with Iran.

This is such a bad piece. Humanising London Palestinian Cafe owners as salt-of-the-earth types, and then saying that a bakery with a Jewish founder is unwanted gentrification and maybe deserves to be protested. theguardian.com/commentisfree/โฆ
