@lancewallnau Hi Lance, huge fan of yours! But in this case, I highly suggest you watch that opening act and see for yourself. It’s stomach turning to think anyone would have allowed that to happen at a Christian event - let alone spirit-filled! 😳🤯.

This is a trending item right now. I didn’t see the sword-swallowing shirtless act, so I can’t address what was done. It sounded inappropriate. In watching this short video, I heard one comment from the Pastor that got my attention- “Mark was with me for 30 minutes and didn’t mention anything.” Did I hear that correctly? The act took place a day before. Everyone applauds the rebuke, and I would agree if this happened spontaneously right before he spoke. But if it had been a day before, and I had the opportunity, I would have told the pastor my perspective. How do I know if the Pastor himself might have regretted the performance? It might have been a dumb suggestion by a young mens ministry staff member and he may have been weighing what to do. I would share with the Pastor what I wanted to say, and if the pastor and I disagreed, I would have possibly declined to speak. I would have recorded my response and made it available. My point is the 30-minute private conversation without bringing this up to the guy who invited me seems odd, especially after praying all night about what I should say. Again, from what I saw I agree with Marks judgment, however, the total avoidance of the subject with leadership before speaking doesn't make sense. I would have imagined Paul talking straight away with leadership. Am I getting the sequence of events correct? Did it happen a day before and he talked with the Pastor for 30 minutes prior to speaking but didn’t bring up the subject? There must be more to this story.
