This morning, I was in North Bay to welcome back the Northlander 14 years after it was cancelled by the previous Liberal government.
The first of three Northlander trainsets is now undergoing rigorous testing along the route between Timmins and Toronto, ahead of a return to service later this year.

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals.
In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more.
She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined.
She should honour her word and let voters decide.

Speaking to me & @thehazelmae after the game, Tyler Heineman took responsibility for his mistakes. In tears at his locker, he said:

.@ABDanielleSmith that is a lie. Provincial Court judges are appointed exclusively by Alberta Cabinet. Federal Court of Kings Bench justices are appointed by a committee that includes provincial input.
Alberta government is responsible for law-enforcement. Courts are independent

Alberta is responsible for how justice is delivered in this province but has no direct role in appointing the judges who serve on our courts. Those judges make decisions that affect Albertans every day, and they should understand the communities and province they serve. Alberta is calling for a constitutional amendment to give the province a formal role in superior court appointments. We are calling on all parties and Members of Parliament to support it.
