when characters who have every justified reason for hating their corrupt government/society are made to look evil by the narrative by having them do "bad stuff" to disregard their ideologies and trauma

like the show never framed killing ozai as morally wrong in general, just wrong for aang specifically. like the other avatars were fine with it. so if you as a viewer think ozai deserved to die, you’re valid. but aang choosing not to is also valid. both can coexist.
