I feel for Phil Foden. Constantly scanning, showing, demanding the ball and getting starved by a backline obsessed with sterile circulation. Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson dictating tempo at walking pace is structurally killing England’s progression. No verticality. No third man runs. No intent. You don’t unlock elite profiles by suffocating them in low tempo U shaped possession. This is control without purpose.
