No, what I actually meant with that is the maintenance and the security measures you have to take - the cyber defense. I did this for 10 years and had a very specific audience that faced a lot of cyber attacks. But I also know how stressful it can be if you have public-facing infrastructure that other people try to hack. 🧑‍💻 That's why I'm focusing right now on local-first applications without infrastructure that I have to maintain.

@Habichtsberg I see. Traditional hosting service can be a high maintenance and competition. Have you ever think about AI hosting service selling llm APIs? That could be a totally different story since it is the current trend.

I'll let you know when I know. 🤷‍♂️ I'm actually looking into stuff at the moment where I don't have to worry so much about GDPR, privacy laws, international tax stuff, oor payment management. That's why I decided to get into app development - a SaaS tends to bring a lot of overhead, like maintaining servers, cyber defense, and even though there are services like Vercel, you still want to make sure your systems can't get hacked. So that's why I personally focus on simple things right now that don't need a whole ton of infrastructure. 🧑‍💻 I've been in the hosting business for 10 years before and it can get really intense.
