आज उत्तराखंड के कई गाँवों में स्थिति यह है कि 30–35 वर्ष से अधिक उम्र के अनेक युवा अविवाहित हैं। इसका मुख्य कारण यह भी है कि बेरोजगारी और स्थायी रोजगार की कमी है। जब रोजगार और आय नहीं है, तो घर बसाना भी मुश्किल हो गया है।
यह केवल एक गाँव की नहीं, बल्कि पूरे प्रदेश की हकीकत बनती जा रही है। दुर्भाग्य से सरकार समाधान के बजाय सिर्फ प्रचार में व्यस्त है।
हम संकल्प लेते हैं कि कांग्रेस सरकार बनने पर इस गंभीर मुद्दे पर प्राथमिकता से ध्यान दिया जाएगा और हर उस परिवार को, जिसमें कोई सरकारी सेवा में नहीं है, उन्हें रोजगार का अवसर उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा ताकि हर युवा का घर बस सके और उसका भविष्य सुरक्षित हो।
