As a Software Architect , it is important to have both depth of knowledge( expertise in specific technologies) and breadth of knowledge (range of technologies one is familiar with) I will talk about the latter.... If you want to keep increasing your breadth of knowledge as an architect: -Follow technical writers on platforms like : medium ,substack, X , LinkedIn. My favourite (@ProgressiveCod2 ,@hnasr @RaulJuncoV) -Read at least one case study every morning from blogs written by Tech Companies @veno_iot ,Meta,Google,Netflix,Amazon,X(I wish @SafaricomPLC wrote about Mpesa) etc to understand technical decisions they have had to make over the years with an aim to learn and not to copy paste the solution.(Remember architectural patterns make sense when there is context) -Do Cloud Certifications like AWS Solution Architect Course, Azure cloud Certifications,Google Cloud Certifications and Udemy courses etc If you forget everything above remember to Keep Learning 💪 So what's your strategy to stay ahead of the game?
