You have to be around people that make you better in some way shape or form.
And you have to bring something to the table too. Your life can change so quick when you keep the right company.
What’s kinda nice about not having a 1st rounder is not having a draft crush this year,
Like I can just enjoy the draft and root for who we get and not be upset if someone goes somewhere else

This is Chewy. He loves to help his grandma garden. She can’t kneel down to dig holes anymore, but that’s his favorite part, so they're a perfect team. 14/10 (TT: chewythenewfie)
You need to surround yourself with people that want to consistently be better than they were yesterday. The compounding effect is crazy and can change your life.
The company you keep matters more than you think.
Really cool story:
1. @SCHEELS employees are so pleasant. Welcoming and friendly and you can feel the culture of the company everywhere throughout the store
2. The young gentleman on the left walked up to me and asked me if I had checked out @ShopTheDimeLab footballs before. He picks a pink one up and says “man this is my favorite, if you haven’t felt one of these you gotta feel the grip, it’s crazy”.
I’m laughing inside and play along and follow up by saying “you’re doing an incredible job selling me this football” and he says something along the lines of “well it has been selling like crazy and personally it’s my favorite football we have — here, feel it” and tosses me the ball.
So I catch the football and say “man - you’re good at this, it is crazy grippy….
you might not know this but I co-founded the company”
He stops in his tracks and says “wait! You’re Kurt Benkert - dude this is crazy”
Long story short we circle back before I leave to get some pictures and what not but the coolest part was that he truly wasn’t trying to “sell” me the football - he was coming by because he saw me looking at them and wanted to tell me how cool they were and that they were flying off the shelves.
Very very cool moment and I really am thankful for all of the things happening right now
I'm increasingly convinced the key to life is simply being yourself. When you hide your personality, you attract high maintenance relationships.

Stop compromising yourself to be liked. The right people will stick. The wrong ones will walk. Let them.
